Located in the port city of Yokohama, this museum presents the stories of the Japanese people who emigrated to the New World in the late 19th and 20th centuries and their descendants. Run by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and opened in 2002, the Japanese Overseas Migration Museum receives 30,000 visitors per year.
